90g Reef Tank - Other

Here are some animals not fitting in under the other groupings.

Name Date Acquired Notes
Jellyfish 4 Apr '10 These tiny jellyfish started blooming on my glass panes.  Eventually they died off - not too sure though what caused them to bloom in the beginning.  They have stinging tentacles.  They are about 1mm wide.

Mariona spp?

Dendronotid nudibranch

7 Apr '10 I found this nudibranch feasting on my colt coral.  Needless to say I banished it to the sump where it will most certainly die.
Worm 7 Apr '10 I have thousands of these worms in my sand bed.  They eat detritus.
Brittle star 27 Apr '10 With my cheato I received several tiny brittle stars.  They are quite happy in my sump.
Flatworm 27 Apr '10 Some flatworms are problematic - especially if they occur in large numbers.  These are mostly in my sump.

Berghia spp.

Berghia nudibranch

30 Apr '10 I have two Berghia nudibranch in my main tank.  They are supposed to eat aiptasia primarily, but mine seems to be eating the algae off the glass panes.
Turbo snail? 30 Apr '10 This snail measures 1.5mm.  It looks just like a Turbo snail so it is possible my Turbo snails got babies.
? 30 Apr '10 No idea what these are - about 1.2mm long.
? 2 May '10 This creature looks like a vermetid snail, but it has a long spider-like web it extends in to the water column to catch its prey.
Isopod 6 May '10 My sump is full of these isopods - grazing on the algae in my sump as well as detritus.  This one is full of eggs.
Flatworm 8 May '10 If anyone ever tells me that flatworms are ugly, then this picture should set them straight.  This guy is maybe 3mm long.
Worm 6 May '10 Another worm in my sump.  This one seems to have 4 eyes.
