145g Reef Tank - Tank Progression
It is always nice to see how one's tank progressed over a period of time. This allows one to see progress much better than otherwise:

Looking back it seems as if I moved rather quickly stocking the tank. This is one month after I added the live rock... On the other hand, the Tang in the picture is still alive (though I sold him a couple of months later), the Crocea clam, Zoanthids, Colt Coral, Leather coral and green anemone are all still with me. |

I added a Regal tang - which died due to a power outage a couple of days after this picture were taken. |

The Tunze pumps were hanging on their default fittings and never worked as they should have - they kept on falling off. Here I placed them on magnet holders, and at the same time re-aquascaped the whole tank. It took the better half of 8 hours one evening between my wife and myself to get this right. All the coral, fish and inverts were carefully moved to containers with powerheads and heaters while we did the aquascaping. |

Here I added a Crinoid, moved the (unhappy) leather coral and the Crocea clam that kept on falling off and moved the Zoanthids. |

As you can see the Criniod was moving all over the tank. I added some mushrooms and a new sun coral. The cynobacteria really took over here... I guess the two pumps worked against each other so the flow was much reduced. |

First shot 3 days after we moved houses. Obviously the aquascaping changed. The coralline on the back of the tank were all dying off. I lost one fish due to a powerhead sucking it in in the container I kept it during the move. Two days later I lost a Chromi too. |

All the coralline died off. Good growth on the Leather and Colt corals. I moved the Porites up to receive more light. I added a quad T5 fitting for increased lighting. My first Acropora is visible infront of the Porites. |

Coralline started growing on the back glass pane. The green anemone is running all over the tank. |

Couple of months later and the coralline really took off. It is clear the Acropora shown significant growth. So too the Colt coral. The Leather was unhappy because of cramped space. I added an Euphyllia. Time for scraping the glass clean... Note the Purple tang is gone - I sold him as he became too belligerent. Instead I added a Sailfin and Achilles tang. |

Recent shot showing growth on the Colt coral, and some moving of corals. The corals started stinging each other as they got too crowded. I moved the Leather, a Zoanthid colony, the giant elephant ear mushroom and some other mushrooms to the 480g tank. The brain coral was also moved. |

This shot was just after I added the new Giesemann Infinity lighting pendant. The increase in lighting is dramatic, and the colour is a much nicer hue as well. Growth is evident on the Acropora (which I am fragging), Finger Coral as well as the small Acropora. |
